Today marks week one of not eating sweets. James and I have a challenge of going through the entire year without eating sweets...but he has given me the option to have a "Skinny Cow" or "Weight Watcher" ice cream bar (that he picks out, and has the lowest amount of calories possible) every once in awhile. Now some of you might think it wouldn't be that hard especially with the ability to technically have a sweet, but my addiction is so far gone, that it has been quite a struggle. The first day I almost fell of the wagon...probably the withdrawal. You wouldn't believe how many times I almost munched on some chocolate that was around the house, or had some of Joseph's Teddy Grahams, or wanted so badly to just make some hot chocolate. So why go through this? I think part of it is wanting to be healthier, part is wanting to be disciplined, and part is for the mere challenge of it. We'll see how it goes. I'll keep you posted.

Can you eat natural sweets? honey, maple syrup?? If so I have so killer recipes for these things!
You can do it...for us the 1 week to 2 week mark was the point we turned around and thought even a grapefruit was deliciously sweet and still do!
